We are in the fundraising process of a much needed shelter expansion to increase indoor space. This will be an addition to the north end of our building which will be contracted by Starbuck Construction. It will include an indoor dog training and Meet & Greet space, a animal washing station, as well as additional space for storage. We currently have 4 kennels that are being used as storage. By moving our storage area to the new space, we will free up more room for animal care inside our existing building. We are also in need of an indoor dog run. We currently only have dog housing kennels in our indoor space, which becomes problematic during inclement weather and for Meet and Greet appointments. It would also provide a better space for community volunteers to work with our dogs on training and enrichment. We also do not have a dog washing station so staff has to utilize kennel space which is not ideal for animals or staff.
